The book art from Found At the Library

If you've read Found At the Library, you may have noticed the dedication in the front of the book. This book was inspired by a phrase that Felicia from The Geeky Bloggers Book Blog used on her blog. She's a true book lover and a huge proponent for library use.

And my writer's brain began spinning about a story centered around the love of books. I quickly came up with Mac and Tommy, two men who are passionate about books but show that passion in very different ways.
(these are the photos I printed out for inspiration when I wrote the book.)

Today we're going to talk about the book art...mainly because you need to see some of the incredible pieces that artists are out there creating that inspired Tommy's art. They are so incredible.

There is so much out there and each piece is more incredible and fantastic than the other. I urge you to go do a google search on book or paper sculptures and then just enjoy. Unlike Mac, I adore book art. There are some incredible artists doing things that blow my mind.

I hoped you liked this tiny visit into Tommy's world.

And a reminder...Found At the Library is available now.

You can buy it here...

His entire life, Tommy Garrett has dealt with self-doubts. He thought he’d conquered the majority of them until a chance meeting with an author brought his illiteracy to the forefront...again. Growing up with un-diagnosed dyslexia has left Tommy barely able to read, but books are his Nirvana. Now he spends his life creating art dedicated to the love of those “untouchable” items.

Robert McIntyre, Mac, is a best-selling, highly celebrated author. But his point of view has become a little bit too narrow...until Tommy opens his eyes. That chance meeting has changed everything about his world. He has no idea how to find the beautiful man he met, and offended, at the library book sale. But when he does, Tommy’s life is in crisis-mode. It’s the holidays and Mac can’t just standby when Tommy needs help, whether Tommy wants it or not.

Two artistic men. One shared passion for books.

Life is hard, and sometimes when conflict arises you have to write your own plot twist to pull yourself out of the fray.

  1. I went on an internet search as soon as I finished reading Found at the Library. The artwork is amazing and I can totally see how you found inspiration from it... and Felicia, cause she's kind of amazing herself ;)
